The Downtown South Milwaukee Market is open to the public on Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and is located at the corner of Milwaukee and 11th Avenues. Check smmarket.org/events for details. The market features an eclectic mix of merchants selling fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, flowers, art, jewelry and more. South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center (SMPAC) is proud to support live “Music at the Market” in downtown South Milwaukee. SMPAC joins with other performing arts-minded sponsors to make weekly music possible. No tickets needed.

    Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys play smoking grooves, served up with hot harmonica and smooth stinging guitar they play original songs peppered with nods to Slim Harpo, Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Billy Boy Arnold, Junior Wells and the three Kings. Born and raised on southside of Chicago, the Rev has been playing the blues since 1971 when he first saw Freddy King play in Chicago. After a 15 year hitch in the Navy, Chief Raven moved to Milwaukee where he began a collaboration with Madison Slim, long time harmonica player for Jimmy Rogers.

    Larry Lynne has a great musical history and has met quite a few people in his time. He has put together a great trio and band using some members from his previous groups to create what is now known as the Larry Lynne Band.     Big Style Brass Band is a ten-piece group performing music rooted in the New Orleans tradition. BSBB hails from Milwaukee, WI and is well known throughout the state's burgeoning New Orleans brass band scene. They balance traditional with modern New Orleans and pop covers you are sure to recognize!

    Since their start in 2010, Big Style has played a wide variety of venues; ranging from dive bars to the main stage; BSBB has had a presence at Bastille Days, Lakefront Festival of the Arts, Majestic Theater and a variety of private parties including weddings, parades, corporate events and back yard parties.
