OUR returning SMPAC senior director: John Christensen is pumped for this year's South Milwaukee Youth Theatre senior production! John has been with us since 2019 and has directed The Lion King, Jr., VTA 2020, Moana Jr., Into the Woods, Jr., and now The Little Mermaid, Jr! For the last 18 years, John has worked and performed in local theatre in Southeastern Wisconsin at the Racine Theatre Guild, the CATHE Theatre, UW-Parkside, and high schools in Racine. John is currently an assistant principal at Milwaukee Academy of Science and has been an English and theatre teacher for 8 years in Milwaukee. "Be interesting!"

2026 Classes
Pre-registration is required to audition. All enrollees audition and receive a part. Registration opens to the first 50 registrants in April. 2026 fee: $215 for South Milwaukee residents (enter code “res”). $245 for non South Milwaukee residents. Discounts are applied for multiple students in one household. Includes student t-shirt and rehearsal music download.
Auditions & Mandatory Parent Meeting
Auditions are being held Tues., May 12, 2026, 5:30-8:30pm. Make up auditions are Wed., May 13, 5-6:30pm.
