Calmus is an award-winning, world-renowned a cappella quintet that embodies the rich choral tradition of its hometown of Leipzig, Germany, the city associated with Bach and Mendelssohn.  All graduates of Leipzig‘s renowned St. Thomas Church Choir School, Calmus offers the unique combination of a pure soprano voice with four male voices ranging from bass to countertenor. For more than a decade, Calmus has been captivating audiences and critics with its charming stage presence, flawless technique and entertaining presentation. The seamless blend of these five voices lends itself to an almost limitless range of music, from renaissance and baroque masters through great German romantic works, all the way to contemporary choral repertoire and popular songs.  “Christmas A Capella” features a blend of ancient and contemporary pieces, including a selection of works from J.S. Bach and familiar carols that will send you soaring into a holiday mood!
